Happy 4th of July!
Happy 230th Birthday U.S.A.! That's a lot of candles!
No matter how we feel about the direction our country is taking, the 4th is a time to reflect on our blessings of being part of this great land. The blessing of having the opportunity to express ourselves without fear is a cornerstone we are fortunate to take for granted. But without this cornerstone artists and others who wish to speak their minds have been jailed, tortured and killed the world over. Sedition being the chasm placed at the bottom of the slippery slope of censorship.
There is great beauty around every corner of the United States, its landscape, flora and fauna - an inspiration to us all, artists or not. But the real inspirations are the ones that come from within, in the form of hopes and dreams that we have the freedom to explore and realize here in the United States.
My dream was to become a photographer, an artist - and there are many family members, friends and patrons that have helped make this dream come true but I'd like to thank the U.S.A. for the freedoms it upholds for helping as well ... and Happy Birthday!
To thank you for sharing my passion of photography, this monthly newsletter is designed to keep you up-to-date on my photographic journey by announcing events where you can see my photographs (only 3 weeks left at the Art Museum of Los Gatos), find out what is being said in the press and take advantage of special promotions to acquire my fine art photographs.
Here's hoping that your 4th of July is filled with meaning! |
Featured Art Work
Along with the photographs that I do for the building industry, I also offer fine art photography on my web site. Each month I feature one of my fine art photographic galleries.
I am an architectural photographer because I love architecture! This love was instilled in me by my Father who was an architect. He shared his love of building by taking us on drives see interesting new building. One very memorable trip to the Oakland Museum to see that new building and a Paolo Soleri exhibit on megalopolis.
This month I would like to share a gallery of photographs of structures that have caught my eye over the years and would like to invite you to visit my Minnesota Gallery.
I invite you to consider my fine art photography and fine art book, The Spirit of Northern Italy, for your home or office, as well as offering it to clients as a fine art recommendation or gift.
